The Book Fair draws to a close

Thank you to everyone who visited our book fair last week. We managed to make over £300 which meant that the library took home £30 worth of free books. These include, but are not limited to the graphic novel adaptation of Noughts and Crosses, The Potion Diaries, Everything, Everything and Defender of the Realm. All of which will be hitting library shelves at the start of next term.

If you missed the fair then no worries. The library is currently running a bargain bucket filled with all our old stock. All books are 10p and money raised gets spent on new books. Definitely worth a rummage!

Book Fair in Full Swing!

We’re now half-way through the 2016 Book Fair.  It’s been a big success so far and we’re well on our way to meeting our sales target. Pupils have been loving the selection with books Corpse Talk, The Scorch Trails and Geek Girl proving extremely popular.

We’re still running our competition to win £5 of book fair vouchers. To win, simply find Wally, he’s hidden somewhere in the library in plain sight. Our student librarian Maddie managed to find the first one this break time. He’s moved, but the competition is still running. Pop in the library to see if you can find him.

Once again EVERYTHING at the fair is 50% off, including the stationary and the posters. Please come and see the fair if you haven’t already, these really aren’t prices you see on the high street. The book fair will close on Thursday afternoon.

1/2 Price Book Fair

On the morning of Monday 11th July through to Friday 15th July the library will be hosting a 1/2 price book fair at the library. Pupils will be able to pick from a wide selection of amazing Scholastic resources including, but not limited to Wimpy Kid, Dork Diaries, the Divergent series and the new Rainbow Rowell. They’ll also be competitions to win free books, a bargain bucket and part of the money raised will go on new resources for the library. We’ll be revving up marketing efforts over the next few weeks and we hope to see as many of you there as possible!
